I'm DJ Hawkins.

I am a lover of words, and a passionate educator.

Those are probably the most important facts you need to know about me.

To date, I've published three full-length novels, and a poetry collection. My debut novel received a 4 Star Literary Titan Award, and my poem titled "The Allegory of Us" was published in Oprelle's anthology titled "Matter."

I have also been an educator for 7 years, one of which I spent teaching in Germany. I hold dual licensure in English Education and Moderate Disabilities.

This is all to say that I founded Inkwell as a way to combine by fierce dedication to writing and quality education. To support and create space for critical and creative thinking. To start a revolution where we explore our identities, the world, and the future through written word.
